Welcome to my portfolio

Who I am, what I build, where to start, and how this site was made.

I’m Alex Jardine, a designer and developer in Toronto. I design, build and grow websites for businesses that need them to win work, and I build the software that helps that work happen. This site is where all of it lives in one place.

If you are a business owner, an agency or a hiring team, this note is the quickest way to find what matters to you.

Start with the work

The Work section holds ten case studies. Each one opens with what the project is, what I built and why it stands out, then shows the evidence: real screenshots, annotated walkthroughs and the decisions behind them.

What I can do for you

Services explains how I work across design, development and growth, from the first call to the first inquiry. Every project is founder-led, without agency layers. About covers my background and how I got here.

How this site was built

The portfolio is a Next.js site with a particle field I wrote in WebGL. Up to 80,000 particles reshape themselves for each section: my name on the homepage, a gear train on Services, a pencil writing at the top of this page. The motion respects reduced-motion settings, and the pause button in the header stops it entirely.

The case studies use the same discipline I bring to client work: every number is counted from the source, every screenshot is real, and every page is checked at desktop and phone widths before it ships.

What you will find in Writing

Notes from the work: project lessons, technical experiments, web management and growth, and the tools I build along the way. Use the search on the Writing page to find a topic or a project.
